Quickly I wanted to say these things as I have to dash again: I love the chairs with your set, they have the same lines in the frame and they are fab. I would not repaint a lighter color. What about painting a wide stripe with a clear poly to create some shimmer and drama and then paint the ceiling in a metallic silver..BM makes a nice pearlized paint. This would tie in the mirrored console too. I would like to go over this with more time but I have to run!! Argh. It looks lovely Lori!Amy Chalmershttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10622362955890810774noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5078895696970857633.post-66205895472910227612010-11-16T07:40:15.062-08:002010-11-16T07:40:15.062-08:00OOOOOH LALA!!! Sorry friend!
Lori,
...Finally, I'm back online! Sorry friend!
Lori,
This room is amazing! Your mirror is just gorgeous, and that mirrored table is, well, FABULOUS!!!! I think your dining room table is absolutely beautiful. Those top scrolls are so elegant and way too pretty for a tablecloth. The pedestals on this table-LOVE them! As far as suggestions go I only have one (this from a woman who has an entire house to decorate and can't make any of her own decisions...) the inset wall where you have the mirror, this wall would look beautiful in something like a metallic lusterstone in the same color family as your wall paints. You already have this room a few shades darker than your hallway area and the ceiling is also color varied. I think if you hit any of these walls with a different shade of color you will chop up the visual lines you have already established in the house. I would wait until you have fully decorated the rest of this floor before making any decisions because right now your seeing too many blank areas and once it gets filled up with furniture & other stuff you will fall back in love with the warm tone-on-tone look you've created. I would also rethink curtains! That window is just beautiful and I love the clean open view that compliments your beautiful open floor plan and that back panel of windows that lead out to your porch. Whatever you choose to do will be wonderful because you have impeccable taste!Nancyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07318201655296390776noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5078895696970857633.post-90847500902460396082010-11-16T02:25:58.930-08:002010-11-16T02:25:58.930-08:00Ahhh, so glad you linked this, my dear friend.

I love the mirrored console and the chairs look beautiful as you have them placed at your table. Have you considered a silver leaf or metallic finish in your coved ceiling? Or I do like the idea of a faux painted technique- It kind of depends on what look you are going for and your overall decorating style. What ever you decide will be magnificent I am sure!!
