It's All About the Sofa

This is my new sofa. Warning, one may get "textile overload" viewing this post. One thing I love about the sofa is that the seat cushion is reversible, which can make it seem like two different sofas, depending which fabric is facing up.  One seat fabric is a raised crushed velvet damask (the raised part is cognac colored crushed velvet).

The other seat fabric is a chocolate brown crushed velvet.  What about that tufted leather....
The fabric on the back and sides of the couch is also a crushed velvet damask in a burgundy/brown and dark gold.
These are the views of both the seat fabrics with pillows in place.

These pictures show the embossed leather arms, twisted rope trim, the bamboo frame detail and the claw feet.

Here are some close-ups of the pillow fabrics.

  4. Picking my jaw up off the floor and wiping drool off my chin. I love the claw feet and the giraffe-y pillows especially. And the table is gorgeous too. I love me some burlwood! What is the floor of? Limestone? It's beautiful.

p.s. When do we get to see the inside of the wine room?

  5. Thanks for all the nice comments. I really appreciate all of them.

To, Tee, because I have two large Dobermans (LOVE my DOBES), the flooring is a porcelain tile which looks very much like natural stone (travertine look). Hey, if you like claw feet... I just picked up a beautiful mirrored console table with killer CLAW FEET today, which I think I am going to place in my dining room. I'll post once I place and take pics.

  10. Abby, I bought the sofa at "Seville Home" in Kansas City, Mo. It is manufactured by a company named Paul Robert (Paulrobert.com), which has independent dealers nationally (and I believe internationally).
