The Turquoise Dining Table

Look what I came across at a local department store this past weekend when I was shopping for charger plates….

This table was gorgeous. The turquoise finish was glazed beautifully and perfectly distressed. I not only loved the table, but also thought the dinnerware, table linens and topiaries looked great.  ALthough I liked the benches, they looked too low to provide functional seating.

A close-up of the distressed finish and the crystal knobs.

Here are the placesetting with the multi-color floral design dinnerware. The charger was a bronzy amber  that had a glitter look. The second pic shows the “glitter” look a little better.

Here is a close-up of the topiaries.  They are made of real preserved boxwood leaves. They are soft and feel real to the touch.

                                                                         Another angle....

  2. Stunning colour! I love the unusual curvy legs of the table. That turquoise is making me wish I had picked that instead of the aqua I did.

Thanks for stopping by and becoming a follower. I love finding new blogs and I am now a follower of yours, too.

  5. This is pretty nice..and such generous size too! Look at those drawers too...Bonus. I love the legs. It would have been nice to another colour besides the brown ... more of the green or better yet some orange to bring out those pretty dishes? Picky Picky, i know....hahaha Great find, thanks for sharing!

  8. Thanks for the comments, everyone.

Kathy and Paige, those aren't the chargers I purchased. The ones I got were clear glass with gold beads along the edge... they look better than they sound. :)

Teri, the department store where I saw this is Dillards.

  9. This is gorgeous! My Dillards doesn't have anything like this but I am going to look for those chargers. I wish I had the nerve to have a turquoise dining room table. My problem is that 2 months later, I would want it to be red. :)

  14. Ok, you confessed on my blog that you keep pictures for pillow fringe and table leg shapes - I confess on yours that I keep them for art arrangements and paint colors. So I'll be saving a couple of these for inspiration, if that's alright with you.

  19. Good reason to choose a table with chairs is that the design and style perfectly match the table, height, materials will be fine, and you do not have to spend your time taking care of them. The disadvantage is that if you need two more than what is, you're almost certainly out of luck. The same thing happens if one of the chairs collapsing due to the collection of poor quality or mere accident, it does not really matter. Another advantage of buying separate presidents are plenty of opportunities.
